HISTORY
This is a record of the day I first played Minecraft, on February 26, 2012.
A few videos and photographs taken on my DSi LL somehow survived on a repaired iPhone 4S.
When I was little, I loved searching for Flash games with my friends, and I came across Minecraft while looking for something new to play.
The first version I ever tried was the “Minecraft PC Gamer Demo,” which was distributed free of charge to PC Gamer readers.
It was a demo released in June 2011, so when I first played it, only about eight months had passed since its release. The version was Beta 1.3.
Later, I also started playing the smartphone version, “Minecraft Pocket Edition” 0.2.1.
I continued playing for several years, with some breaks along the way, and enjoyed the Minecraft world on my smartphone all the way through Version 0.17.0.
During that time, I also played Java Edition, experiencing major updates such as Versions 1.2, 1.5.2, and 1.7.10 as they were released. In the summer of 2020, I moved my world data over to Java Edition, and from 2024 onward, I began building in Java Edition.
It was simply a game I became interested in and played as a child, but I never imagined that it would have such a major influence on my life more than a decade later. I wonder what my younger self would think if I could tell them who I am today......
